I started painting in October 2006 after a friend encouraged me to take art classes at the community art center. I had always loved to draw, but had never had any formal art instruction until then. I draw inspiration from my grandmother who didn't start painting until her mid 50's. She continued to paint until her death, nearly 40 years later. I love painting animals, water, and flowers.
